Thumamah Farm: A Blend of Tradition and Modern Innovation

HYKAL was commissioned to develop a sprawling 15,000 m² farm located in the Thumamah district, east of Riyadh. The farm, featuring an existing large villa, underwent a comprehensive redesign that included new entrance strategies and overall site enhancement.

Masterful Planning and Zoning

At the heart of the redesign is a focal attraction on the northern side of the plot. This includes stunning waterfalls surrounded by outdoor shaded cabanas and a grand guest tent. The guest tent, equipped with a preparation kitchen, dining area, storage, and toilet facilities, offers panoramic views of the entire site due to its elevated position, three meters above ground level.

A ring road has been introduced for small service vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring seamless accessibility. The central gathering node of the site features a water stream and a seating gazebo, fostering a sense of community and relaxation.

Diverse Recreational Spaces

The west side of the farm includes an English nursery court, while other areas are dedicated to football and various outdoor entertainment activities. The southern side boasts a tranquil palm tree area with a gathering sitting space. Additionally, new pathways and BBQ areas enhance the existing villa, integrating it seamlessly into the newly developed landscape.

Illumination and Aesthetic Appeal

A special lighting concept has been integrated into the new development, highlighting the beauty of the farm while ensuring functionality and safety during evening hours.
